Ulsan Online is more than happy to announce our new calendar of events. The great thing about it is that you can ad your own events, by logging in with your facebook id. Now all the cultural events, festivals, professional sports won’t pass you buy. You won’t be wondering why the tour de France was in town and you missed it. The calendar, like many of our pages, is for sale. It is already a hot hit for viewers, and if you’d like a high profile ad, this might be the place to put it.

Really Interactive Mugeodong Map

I’ve updated the Mugeodong Map with new interactive features, including links to the busiest bus stops, and a complete list of all the buses that stop there. I hope this is a progression in a useful direction, and I’d love feedback, because I never use the buses, and find it difficult to know if what I’m doing is helpful or not. My suggestion would be to just BUY A BIKE…but that’s me.

Well, as most of Uljugun is empty desert, I’ve decided to focus on Cheonsang and Guyongli. No available on the Uljugun home page is this new map, make sure you check out the clickable features, including everybody’s favourite breakfast hotspot, It’s Burger, now serving western breakfasts Saturday mornings!

Our next step here at Ulsan Online is to provide, you, the reader, with another useful service. We are launching Ulsan Online Job Board for ESL jobs. Searching other sites for work in Ulsan can be exhausting, we’ve brought it all home.

Of course, we are just starting this service. We need to promote it in the community, and abroad. So, if your school keeps asking you to find a new teacher, give them our address. 1 posting is 30 000 won (compared to EslCafe which is $75 US). And, our readers already know about Ulsan. Promotions and Stickers

Well, We’re happy to announce a friendship between Ulsan Online and Ulsan Tabloid (Korean English) Newspaper. Ulsan Tabloid has a given away hundreds of free tickets to the Mobius Pheobus basketball game this Saturday, and Ulsan Online is proud to say that almost 100 Ulsan Online users are going to the game! Andy and I will be there handing out business cards and stickers. If you head to Benchwarmers after the game and show your Ulsan Online business card, you’ll get a surprise!

The other announcement is Ulsan Online “Foreigner Friendly Business” Stickers. This is a campaign to help people recognize shops that are especially friendly to the Waygookin. If you know a shop that deserves one of our stickers, please tell us, and we’ll make sure they get one. So keep an eye out for the stickers around town.

Namgu Map

Hi All,

I’m happy to say that the new 1.0 version of the Namgu interactive map is online. This map gives you an idea of where the site is heading, which totally interactive maps. I believe that this will really help people new to the city be able to find exactly what they are looking for.

I’ve been riding the busses recently to try the experience. Yes, 6 yeasr in Ulsan and I’ve taken a grand total of 3 city busses. I’ve discovered that it is sooo important to know exactly which bus you want to be taking. I haven’t determined yet if I should print a map with all the bus routes on it, because I think it might get too messy. What I will have for you soon is important bus stops that you can click and find which busses come there.

My advice though is to just buy a motorbike from Jay or Mr. Goh.
